Flix for You: A mystery to be seen by all

“Riverdale” is about a small town and the mysterious people living within it

I’m a huge fan of the mysterious, cliffhanger shows. They’re some of my favorites and one of the ones that I found that’s just that is “Riverdale.”

“Riverdale” is a drama revolving around the small, fictional town of Riverdale. It seems like a normal town, until Cheryl and Jason Blossom go for a boat ride and Jason disappears. Later, he shows up — dead. The knowledge of a killer among them sends the entire town into a frenzy. During this time of crisis, four friends unite: Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones and the new girl in town, Veronica Lodge. The rest of the town gets tangled up in the mystery with Jason Blossom and dark secrets are revealed about people who you would never guess had secrets. Parts of the show are narrated by Jughead, who’s writing a book about the events happening in Riverdale. His narration at the beginning and end of every episode goes more in-depth to his thoughts on Riverdale’s mysteries.

The show is based off of “Archie Comics,” a huge comic book company based around the character of Archie Andrews. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve heard good things about it. Most of the main characters in the TV show are the same in the comic series, so the writers of the show did a great job with that.

There is a lot of drama, mystery and romance in this show and it’s super easy to get hooked on. I saw the first episode and was instantly sucked into the world of “Riverdale.” I’m a big fan of mysteries, so this show was perfect for me. Every episode has an eerie feel and leaves you wanting more with the next one. The second season started on Wednesday, Oct. 11 this year, and it’s really good so far. It’s easily in my top five favorite shows right now.

See you next time!
