Beauty Boss: Your makeup can look good at 4 a.m.

In preparation for Homecoming this past weekend, I obligatorily stocked up on beauty products. Prior to my makeup binge shopping trip, the makeup I was using hardly lasted through a school day, so of course I stopped by Sephora as to avoid looking like a shiny-faced raccoon at the end of the dance.

Awhile ago, I signed up to receive email promotions from Urban Decay — a decision I actually regret quite often considering I have both a credit card and zero will power whatsoever. Anyway, I got an email the day before my shopping spree about Urban Decay’s All Nighter long lasting makeup setting spray. The only time I’ve ever used any type of setting spray was when I got my makeup professionally done for prom — the way it stung my eyes when the makeup artist sprayed it though, it could’ve easily been some sort of pesticide. The spray was a little on the pricey side, but I trust in Urban Decay’s products because to this day using my Naked eyeshadow palettes is a spiritual experience. Naturally, I bought it the makeup setting spray.

It’s super duper easy to use, just do your makeup then close your eyes and spray. Do not forget to close your eyes, I beg. It’s a really light mist, but it can and will sting your eyeballs like crazy. I couldn’t tell I was wearing it, it’s not sticky or heavy feeling or anything. It was expensive, like I said, but you really only need like two sprays to cover your whole face and leave your skin looking matte and healthy. Before using the spray my makeup would melt like a Barbie left in a hot car, but at the end of the night, I could still take decent looking selfies, even with the flash on, even at 4a.m. It was a successful night in my book.
