You don’t have to look very closely to see that a vast majority of the ladies at our school dress strikingly similar from head to toe. Typically UGG boots have been known to be the top choice for fall footwear, but I’ve noticed a new (and significantly less expensive) trend making its way into the halls this fall: leather boots.

This trend offers a little more variety in style, color and shape. There’s a pair to suit every style. Combat boots for those who prefer the gothic look, cowgirl boots for those who prefer “country” and even the typical Lana Del Rey wannabe could find a place for leather boots in her wardrobe.

Not only are they adorable, leather boots are also super affordable. Depending on the quality, you can usually find a pair anywhere from $45 to $80 at either Old Navy, Target or Payless. So they’re not exactly cheap, but they’re still considerably less than the price of UGGS.

Ladies, get more bang for your buck. While UGG boots are more durable and higher quality, I just think they’re way too big of an investment for shoes. If you could get boots that are just as in style and just as warm for half the price, why wouldn’t you?
