Blog: Fall hair dye-rections
Now that we’re well into fall, more and more girls are trading in their ombre and summery highlights for shades of auburn and chocolately brown. There are a few things you should consider if you’re planning on dying your hair to better suit the season.
If you don’t want to die alone, don’t dye alone. Seriously though, coloring your hair by yourself is impossible. Even if you think you did a good job, have someone else go over the back one more time to make sure you applied the dye thoroughly. Nothing is more embarrassing than having a single discolored spot on the back of your head.
Secondly, maintain your color. You can’t expect to dye your hair once and have the color look beautiful forever. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. Your color will fade, your roots will grow out and your hair will inevitably look ratchet if you don’t touch your hair up as needed. If you dramatically change your hair color, I suggest touching it up approximately once a month. If your color is closer to your natural, recolor at your convenience.
The last last thing I want to address is eyebrows. Listen up ladies because I see this a lot when girls go from blonde to brunette. If your eyebrows are blonde and practically nonexistent, pencil them in with a very light to medium shade of brown to avoid washing out your face. Happy hair dying, ladies.
