Bowling teams sweep Leavenworth meet

The bowling teams swept their meet on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Crown Lanes in Leavenworth.

 Boys varsity had a team score of 2,402, beating F.L. Schlagle High School and Leavenworth High School. Individual series scores were: senior Tyler Moore, 634, junior LJ Hatch, 611, senior Garrett Scheffler, 531, freshman Cole Gray, 563, senior Robbie Weber, 493, and senior Bret Holloway, 461.

 Girls varsity had a team score of 1,897. Individual series scores were: senior Dakotah Widmer, 487, sophomore Cassie Widmer, 480, sophomore Lindsey Jackson, 431, senior Madison Bohling, 418, freshman Maridee Weber, 414, and senior Olivia Cain, 371.

 The bowling teams also competed in a tournament on Monday, Feb. 6 against De Soto High School, Blue Valley Southwest High School and Topeka West High School at West Ridge Lanes in Topeka.

 Varsity boys placed first, varsity girls and junior varsity boys placed second and junior varsity girls placed third.

 Next Tuesday, Feb. 14 the teams will travel to West Ridge Lanes again to compete against Seaman High School at 3:30 p.m.
