Chocolate chip cookie dough dip

I do not know about anyone else, but I am in love with cookie dough, preferably chocolate chip cookie dough. I like it by itself or in ice cream and obviously when it is cooked. Chocolate chip cookie dough dip is everything you dream of without the eggs so people won’t become sick.

This dip is truly the king of all dips, sweet or salty.

Ingredients:

½ cups butter, or one stick

3/4 cups brown sugar

One tsp vanilla

One block (8 oz. block) cream cheese, softened

½ cups powdered sugar

¾ cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and whisk until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble, it should look almost like caramel. Set aside to cool, and whisk in the vanilla.

Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer for one minute or until creamy and smooth. With mixer on low speed, add in brown sugar and butter mixture. Mix until combined and fold in the chocolate chips.

Garnish with additional chopped chocolate. Serve with fruit, cookies, crackers, pretzels or a spoon. I served it with Club crackers since I didn’t have graham crackers.

That’s what’s cookin’ this week. Check back next week for an all new recipe.
