Diversity club traveled to Northeast High School on Tuesday, March 27 from 8- 10:30 a.m. for an event called the Round Table. At the Round Table, students came together to talk about issues on diversity and how to change people’s views on others within their community and school.
Diversity club sponsor Jeff Wieland explains the Round Table.
“It is an opportunity for students from different schools to come together and discuss how different groups of students may be included or excluded at different schools and how schools have tried to make their communities more inclusive,” Wieland said.
Senior Christian Service enjoyed the event because they were able to meet people from other schools.
“I liked it because we got to learn about other cultures and other schools,” Service said. “We got a look into other people’s lives and met new people.”
Wieland thought that the Round Table went well.
“It was a unique experience and our kids left energized,” Wieland said.
