“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” follows an adventure to break a curse while trying to beat the undead

I love action and adventure movies. They’ve really piqued my interest over the last few years, making it one of my favorite genres of movies. One franchise of action movies that’s a classic in my books is “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

The fifth movie of this franchise is “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” which follows Captain Jack Sparrow’s quest to find the trident of Poseidon to break the Dutchman’s curse. While trying to find it, he and his crew are hunted by the undead crew of Captain Salazar.

At the beginning of the movie, Will Turner is found by his son Henry on the Dutchman, a pirate ship. A curse has kept Will on the Dutchman, and Henry sets out to break it, but he can’t do it alone. Sparrow takes him under his wing, and they set out together to find it, with the help of his crew, as well as Carina, a woman accused of witchcraft but is just interested in astronomy.

One thing I love about the Pirates franchise is the consistency of the cast. Even some of the most minor characters, like his crew, continue to appear in every movie. It seems like with the big franchises anymore they don’t use the same cast; it’s just not the same without the original characters.

I really liked this movie when I saw it because it has a good balance of action and humor. Johnny Depp always does a great job of portraying the oddball pirate of Sparrow yet again, making this movie entertaining for people who like all kinds of genres. If you’re in the mood for an action and comedy movie, of if you’re just a fan of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, this is a good one to sit down and watch.

See you next time!
