Flix for You: Young and starving for a good show

“Young & Hungry” is about an aspiring chef with a new job

You guys remember Lilly from “Hannah Montana,” right? Well, she’s still in the spotlight after so many years.

Emily Osment is the star of a sitcom entitled “Young & Hungry.” She plays the role of a chef in San Francisco who’s on the hunt for a good paying job. Her character, Gabi, stumbles upon one and it happens to be for a millionaire. She gets the job, but more comes with it than she expected. Osment later develops a romantic relationship with her boss, Josh. After, things get nothing but messy between the two of them.

The show has a good mix of comedy and romance, which I really like. Emily’s character, Gabi, has a roommate and the two of them are very broke. One of my favorite episodes that shows the more comedic side of the show is when Gabi’s car breaks down. The car repair shop wants to impound it but Gabi won’t let that happen, so Gabi, her roommate and her co-workers make an effort to steal the car back.

On the more comedic side of the show, Josh also has two other people working for him: a cleaning lady and he has a manager. They add comedy to it because they’re constantly bickering at each other and never want to do work. They’re probably some of my favorite characters in the show because they both add color to the show with their personalities and they’re both so funny.

I would recommend “Young & Hungry” to those who are looking for lots of humor with some romance mixed in. They are in the midst of season five on TV so you’ll have quite a bit of catching up to do, but it’s worth it.

See you next time!
