Food truck review: Street Wings
Wings are an easy food to make and often end up less than exceptional, so it was a surprise that Street Wings managed to make excellent wings while still keeping things fresh and interesting.
The wide variety of wing types sets this truck apart from typical restaurants. There are both bone-in and bone-out, and over eight flavors. Regular wings are $1 each and can be ordered in groups of six, eight, or 12.
One set of the wings I ordered was the bone-in mild buffalo with bleu cheese. While I expected the wings to have a bit of a kick to them, I didn’t expect the overpowering spice that accompanied them. They were incredibly hot and even the bleu cheese couldn’t cool them down. I drank two water bottles while attempting to finish the six wings.
I also ordered the stuffed wings, which were bone-in wings stuffed with Italian sausage and risotto. The wings were excellent, albeit a bit messy.
The truck does a great job of providing friendly service, and the girl taking orders was nothing but nice.
Street Wings takes a typical bar food and elevates it to a delicious level. If you’re willing to handle a bit of spice in your food, this truck is the place to grab a messy bite to eat while burning off some tastebuds in the process.
