Freshman quarterback Brody Flaming closed out the second half with two more touchdowns, making the final score 72-6.
“It felt good to get our first win, but I think [the team] would agree that in order to be a better team, we need harder competition,” sophomore safety Joel Donn said.
Donn said the win helped the team gain determination for the rest of the season.
“[The win] helped boost our confidence going into … the tougher games of the season,” Donn said.
Despite the enthusiasm of the team’s first win, Donn said they still have room for improvement.
“[We need to work on] playing as a team and not being selfish,” Donn said.
The Jaguars will take on Staley away on Friday, Oct. 4.
