Girls basketball team loses first game to Piper High School
Senior shooting guard Kylie Lewis shared how the team needs to improve in the upcoming season
The girls basketball team lost to Piper High School 46-39 on Friday, Dec. 7. Senior shooting guard Kylie Lewis said that the game was something for the team to build upon in the upcoming season.
“I think for our first game we worked pretty well,” Lewis said. “We made a lot of mistakes and we’re planning not to do that again.”
Lewis said that although the team did not play their best, they still worked well as a team.
“I think we kept each other motivated,” Lewis said. “We didn’t get down on each other, especially when we got on a streak of turnover after turnover.”
Overall, Lewis was excited about the potential of the team.
“I think a lot of [the mistakes] were first game jitters,” Lewis said. “Despite that, we have good teamwork.”
