Homecoming candidates were announced this week, with the winners being crowned at the football game on Friday, Oct. 10.

Senior Allison Eigsti is the daughter of Sam and Jennifer Eigsti. Eigsti has been on the Silver Stars Dance team for four years and has been captain for two years.  She is the Student Body Treasurer, has letter academically, has been on the A honor roll all four years of high school and is a member of NHS. Eigsti is in several Mill Valley choirs, including Jag Chorale and Jaguar Singers. She is a member of the Student Leadership Team, is a student ambassador and has been the weather girl for the broadcast program for two years. After high school, Eigsti plans on continuing her love of dance in college.  While she is unsure of her major, she is considering broadcast journalism or law.  One thing she knows is that she wants to help people and make others happy. Eigsti hopes to become an NFL cheerleader and work for the Disney Corporation.

Senior Spencer Adams is the son of Jay and Rhonda Adams. Adams has been on the varsity tennis team for three years, enjoys outdoor activities, such as fishing, and also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.  Adams gives a shout out to his seminar teacher, Jessica Haney, for making mentoring Mondays not as bad.  After high school, Adams plans to attend JCCC in the fall and then transfer to the University of Kansas his sophomore year to major in business.

Senior Maddie Little is the daughter of Jim and Annette Little. Little has been on the varsity volleyball team for four years and is currently the captain.  She was named to the all-league volleyball team for two years and is a member of the Student Leadership Team.  After high school, Little plans to go to Kansas State University and major in marketing and interior design.

Senior Clayton Kistner is son of Tim and Angela Kistner.  Kistner is an Eagle Scout, has been class president for the last two years and is a drum major for the marching band. He has played the saxophone and tuba for four years, has been in jazz band for three years and is the first chair alto sax. Kistner has actively participated in theatre for four years, been a member of the Student Leadership Team for four years and is a member of NHS.  He also has an opinion blog called “Clayton’s Catastrophic Column” on Mill Valley News. After high school, Kistner plans to attend Kansas State University to study architectural engineering.

Senior Lauren Mansfield is the daughter of Tim and Ann Mansfield.  Mansfield has been in NHS for two years, is a member of the Student Leadership Team, and has received two academic letters.  She has earned a varsity letter in track for three years, is the vice president of production for the Catty Shack and DECA, and is a second year photographer for the JAG yearbook and website. Mansfield was a cheerleader for two years and now spends time working with and coaching kids at Pinnacle Gymnastics.  She has also provided outside of school tutoring for elementary and middle school students.  After high school, Mansfield plans to attend Kansas State University to major in environmental engineering and wants to travel the world as much as possible.

Senior Kurt Loevenstein is the son of Rick and Julie Loevenstein.  Loevenstein is the composer and performer of “The Prom Song” and maintains a solid 3.1 GPA.  He has done both cross country and track for four years and is currently the state champion in the 800 meter run and the 4 by 800 relay. After high school, Loevenstein plans to attend college, but has not decided where.  He would also like to continue playing the banjo.

 Senior Sydney Rebeck is daughter of Dan and Shelby Rebeck. Rebeck has done competitive dance for 10years and was a Mill Valley cheerleader for two years. She is a member of StuCo, NHS and Student Leadership Team and is also a four year academic letter winner. After high school, Rebeck plans to attend the University of Kansas to major in social work and hopefully continue her love of dance.

Senior Mitch Perkins is the son of Rick and Kim Perkins. Perkins has been on both the cross country and basketball teams for four years. He is on the Student Leadership Team, a recipient of an AP Science Award and a member of a 189-22 sand volleyball team with Derek Meeks. After high school, Perkins plans to attend Kansas State University and major in mechanical engineering.

 Senior Macie Rouse is the daughter of Chuck and Christine Rouse. Rouse has been on the Silver Stars dance team all four years of high school and is a captain this year.  She was the vice president of human resources for the Catty Shack school store and is currently working on making Mill Valley special education students future employees. After high school, Rouse plans to attend the University of Kansas to get her nursing degree, and then wants to work in Third World countries with programs like the Peace Corps.  She hopes to travel the world and assist in international aid.

 Senior Eli Stewart is the son of Jeff and Theresa Stewart. Stewart has played baseball for two years, has actively participated in the musicals for three years, and has been a member of the NHS for two years. Stewart is in several Mill Valley choirs and has been for four years and also participates in Allegro choirs. After high school, Stewart plans to go into the medical field and become a pediatrician, but has not yet decided on a college.

 Senior Savannah Rudicel is daughter of Dave and Rhonda Rudicel. Rudicel has played basketball for four years and has performed in both the fall musicals and spring plays for four years. She is currently the student body president and has held a position in StuCo for all four years of high school. Rudicel is a two-time state track medalist, is a producer for MVTV and has been on the broadcast team for three years.  She did both debate and forensics for one year, has played AAU basketball for four years, and has been on the Student Leadership Team for four years. After high school, Rudicel plans to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science, but has not yet decided on a college.

 Senior Bailey Weeks is the son of Jeff and Wendy Weeks. Weeks has been a starter for the varsity soccer team for four years, has had captain honors for two years and was first team all-conference. He also played basketball for one year. Weeks has been on the honor roll for every semester and is also a member of NHS.  He volunteers for TEAM soccer, working with children who have disabilities, and is also a member of the Catty Shack school store and DECA.  After high school, Weeks aspires to continue his successes both academically and athletically through his college years.  He is currently pursuing a collegiate soccer scholarship and hopes to commit to a school soon, planning to major in business.
