As the Jaguars prepare for their home game against the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats on Friday, Jan. 13, many players feel this game will be the most crucial of the season.
“This game will prove that we can be a top team in the KAW Valley League,” sophomore guard Nick Friesner said.
The Bobcats won state in 2008, and finished in the top of the league last year. Friesner said that the upcoming game will give our team more credit as a well-prepared team in the league.
“We hope this game will make a statement and show who we can be as a team,” Friesner said.
Junior forward Austin Moylan said that this game being at home gives the Jaguars an upper hand.
“Our crowd is always very energetic and supporting,” Moylan said. “This is the time of year the games start to pick up and become a lot more important, so a win this Friday against Basehor in front of the home crowd would mean a lot to the team.”
