Amit: 4.5/5.

The film begins with an intense sequence. Tom Holland, who plays Nathan Drake, is outside a plane attempting to get back in while fighting evil people. The film then flashes back to Nathan Drake as a child, touring a museum with his brother, whom he is very close with. Him and his brother attempt to obtain a map that reportedly depicts a sunken treasure, this puts the storyline of the film in motion. The storyline was cleverly designed to keep me engaged and on my toes. I was curious about Nathan Drake. The film does a wonderful job of establishing mystery by showing Nathan Drake’s brother departing and then cutting to Nathan Drake as an adult, still unsure of his brother’s whereabouts. The film provides the appropriate amount of detail to help us know what he’s like. As the film progresses, we learn more and more about him. The film is also quite entertaining since it depicts Nathan doing and saying very funny things. There is one scenario in particular that made me chuckle. Nathan steals a girl’s jewelry and says something about her using her “daddy’s money.” The film achieved the ideal mix between dramatic and amusing. During the build-up to the climax and the conclusion. The film depicted numerous heated scenes in which all of the characters fought for the missing treasure. The film is definitely worth seeing and is suitable for audiences of all ages.

Casey: 5/5

I won’t lie, while going to see ‘Uncharted’, I had no idea what it was about. All I knew was that it was based off of a video game. During the beginning of the movie I was a little confused. The movie kind of jumped around to different times in the main character Nathan Drake’s life, who’s played by Tom Holland. Once I understood the flashbacks I was less confused. The movie got started with introducing all the characters quickly so it did a good job keeping my attention. I felt like every scene had me on the edge of my seat. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, who played Victor “Sully” Sullivan, had good chemistry during their shared scenes and were very funny. Along with an action packed plot, this movie had lots of humor. Lots of the scenes were very funny and helped keep my attention. All of the scenes had great set designs and amazing costumes, I thought they fit the whole vibe of the show perfectly. During this movie I never once found myself reaching for my phone or even looking away. The movie did a great job keeping me entertained. Even though I’m not the most familiar with the Uncharted game, I still thought the movie was amazing. Overall, I thought it was a great movie and I will definitely be back in theaters to see a sequel if there is one.
