Senior volleyball players recognized at Senior Night

Varsity volleyball players celebrated senior night on Monday, Oct. 9, minutes before the game started. One by one senior manager Alex Stevenson, and senior players Molly Kelley and Molly Miller crossed the court, mother and father at their sides.

“Senior night was a joy, we had a solid atmosphere, and our team played pretty well that night. It wasn’t anything like I thought it was going to be. It was pretty emotional, seeing everyone there to support the seniors. Realizing it was my last game at home was pretty heart-touching,” Miller said. “I love my school and I’m not ready for it all to come to an end. “

Athletic director David Ewers announced each of the girls’ bio’s, including accomplishments they had made over the years. He also announced some of their best memories and role models.

In her bio, Stevenson said her mom had always been her role model and she was lucky to have her. Kelley had said her former volleyball coach Ashley Agre was her best friend forever. Miller mentioned that she hoped to become a teacher and marry a rich man, as well as her homecoming queen accomplishment.

As Miller walked across the court, a few moments were taken to compose herself. After pictures were taken in honor of the celebration, she ran to the circle of the team and yelled “Let’s stir it up” to start the game.
