Senior girls defeat junior girls 14-7 in the 2013 powderpuff game
The annual juniors vs seniors powderpuff football game took place last Friday, Nov. 21, the seniors winning 14-7.
The seniors took an early 7-0 lead with a touchdown by senior Abby Sieperda.
Senior Jordan Blair believes the juniors looked good at first, but the seniors prevailed.
“[The juniors] came out stronger than we thought, but we pulled through,” Blair said.
The juniors quickly came back with a touchdown by junior Maddie Little tying the game 7-7.
The game ended with a final touchdown by Sieperda, the seniors winning 14-7.
Senior coach Micah Clarke believes the seniors played a phenomenal game.
“Seniors dominated the whole thing. It wasn’t even close. I just can’t be more proud of my girls,” Clarke said. “We worked a solid 30 minutes on off season practice and I just couldn’t be more proud of how we came out and played, it was just excellent. We ran hard, we hustled, we were physical … it was a good game.”
