Seven questions with varsity soccer player, junior Hugh Ebb

What is your favorite part about the soccer team this year?

“My favorite part is the chemistry. We work well together as a team and we all know each other pretty well and most of us are friends.”

What are your expectations for the team for the rest of the year?

“To finish with a winning record and then make a deep run into regionals and hopefully state.”

Personally, do you like dressing up on gameday?

“Yes I think it shows that we are a team and it also lets other people know we have a game.”

What do you do to get yourself ready for a game?

“Superstition wise, I always put my right shoe on first, I don’t wear my jersey until halftime of the JV (junior varsity) game and I always step on the field with my right foot first. In general, I just watch a lot of soccer the day before and the day of I listen to music, hydrate and study what I can about the other team.”

Other than soccer what is your favorite sport to play?

“Probably basketball because there are so many different games you can play with different rules like 21 and knockout, and you don’t need a lot of people to play.”

What is one thing many people do not know about you?

“I was born in South Korea.”
