Coach and players look forward to upcoming season
The softball team has kicked off their season and is preparing for their first game on Tuesday, April 1.
Head coach Sarah Haub is looking forward to a new season.
“It’s a brand new team,” Haub said. “My hopes are that they play with discipline, pride, and unity.”
Senior Abby Ford has some personal and team goals for the year.
“My personal goals are to stay strong in the field defensively,” Ford said. “My team goals would be to have a successful season like last year and return to state.”
Haub also hopes to go far in the season.
“We hope to make it back to state and have a good run like last year,” Haub said.
Junior Lexie Meyers looks forward to a fun season.
“I am looking forward going to the Emporia tournament because it’s good bonding experience,” Meyers said. “And possibly making another run at state.”
