Softball team sweeps Turner
The team won both games against Turner on Thursday, May 1
The softball defeated Turner 10-0 in the first game and 15-0 in the second game on Thursday, May 1.
Junior Kaitlyn Jackman felt the team had good pitching.
“We were throwing strikes like it was nothing,” Jackman said.
Junior Lexie Meyers was also proud of the teams performance.
“Despite the cold weather we were still able to play well with no errors and executed when we needed to,” Meyers said.
The softball team takes on Blue Valley North West on Tuesday, May 6.
“They are a 6A school and they are better competition,” Meyers said. “I am excited for the game just to see how well we play against them.”
Jackman is also looking forward to the next game.
“Next game I hope I will be able to do my part in the offense,” Jackman said. “Hopefully we come up with a win.”
Junior Ellen Merrill is a reporter and first year staff member for the Jagwire. She also plays volleyball, is involved in StuCo and Student Ambassadors and is a freshman mentor. In her free time she enjoys driving in her Jeep and spending time with family and friends, like Annie Crouch. Laughing is her favorite thing to do.
