This is senior Avery Cole’s third year on the JAG yearbook staff. This year, she will be taking on the position of photo editor. When not in room C-101, you can find her participating in NHS, NEHS, and Relay for Life. Outside of school, she spends her time working at JCPRD at Clear Creek, volunteering, hanging out with friends and family, and watching netflix.

Teaching his photo imaging class, art teacher Brian Lloyd explains how to capture a good photo Monday, Nov. 13. “I enjoy passing on my knowledge of working digitally to make beautiful pictures to my students,” Lloyd said. “It’s interesting to see them experiment with long exposures and movement to create composition.”

Assisting his student, art teacher Brian Lloyd shapes sophomore Savannah Seymours’ project Tuesday, Oct. 24. “I love having Mr. Lloyd as a teacher because he is great at teaching and making class fun,” Seymour said. “I would recommend the class to anyone because it lets you branch out and explore more ways to be creative.”

Removing the pieces from the laser cutter, junior Lexus Pennel cuts out a set of wooden gears to use for their mechatronic Thursday, Jan. 25. “We are making a moving face of art that is fully functional with either a manual piece for movement or a small motor,” Pennel said. “The project helps us learn how to use more of our design and creation skills when it comes to approaching a new task.”
