Hosted by StuCo, Clubsgiving was an event for members of all clubs to come together and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the cafeteria. While at the event students participated in Thanksgiving trivia, coloring pages and a pie-eating contest.

Sophomore Reese Miller describes the effort that went into planning this event.

“All of Stuco worked together to make this event a success,” Miller said. “From making the Trivia game to the signup sheets to setting up the tables, it was a lot of work but everyone did their part.”

Senior Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick expresses why she believes Clubsgiving is a great social event.

“The best part of Clubsgiving is hanging out with all my friends,” Fitzpatrick said. “Enjoying some food and talking with each other is always a nice thing to do.”

Junior Grant Kuchynka describes what it was like to compete in the Pie-eating competition.

“It felt good to win,” said Kuchynka. “But I couldn’t breathe and my friends kept making me laugh which made it a lot harder.”

Fitzpatrick shares why she thinks Clubsgiving is an important event.

“It’s great to get to see what other clubs there are because you don’t know what other clubs have started since you’ve been here,” Fitzpatrick said. “Especially as a senior, it’s fun to see that now we have a ceramics club or a crochet Club, which I’d never really learned about before, so it’s nice to see them represented.”

Overall, Miller believes the event turned out fun and inclusive.

“Getting the clubs together to bond and have fun is just a great experience and I think it’s great that I got to be a part of it,” Miller said. “Also, watching the pie-eating contest was very funny to watch.”
