The girls and boys track teams place first at the Leavenworth Invitational
The boys and girls track teams won 15 first place medals at the Leavenworth Invitational
The varsity girls and boys track teams both placed first at the Leavenworth Invitational on Tuesday, April 1. Together, the teams won 15 first place medals in various events in its first meet of the season.
Junior Holly Webb said that the success of the meet pleased her.
“It was a good way to start the season because I did better than I was expecting to,” Webb said. “I think we did a good job for the beginning and it gives us a lot of room to improve.”
Along with Webb, junior Hollis Tharp enjoyed the meet because of the team’s overall achievement.
“I think we did good as a team,” Tharp said. “I think the season is going to be interesting [and] for distance, the season is going to be really good.”
