To many the Kardashians are nothing more than a brand. Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall, Kylie are all simply considered the people who litter the cover of tabloid magazines and can be seen every Sunday on the E! network in the multitude of reality shows they star in. I dare anyone to deny they have seen at least one episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” They are more than spectacles to laugh at. They are real people with real lives that they bravely put in front of the camera.

Admittedly they don’t have an abundance of talent. I won’t lie about that. Despite this, the entire Kardashian family has created an empire based off their fashion and television enterprises. I’m not here to defend them because they don’t need my defense. No matter how many people make fun of their appearance or tabloids dissect their relationships, they will always be better off than most people in this country. The Kardashians are worth $80 million. The lead Kardashian, Kim, is worth $40 million alone. Her new app has garnered her $700 thousand per day. Yes, per day.

The Kardashians will always be a perfect example of making your circumstances work in your favor. Every time a Kardashian shows up on a magazine cover, that 80 million dollars continues to grow. You can continue to make fun of the Kardashians, but who really benefits from it?

I love the Kardashians and I am going to watch “Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons”, no matter how ridiculous that sentence may sound to an intellectual person. In the end, that intellectual person will be at home watching it and the Kardashians will be laughing all the way to the bank.
