The boys soccer team lost 2-0 against the Blue Valley West High School Jaguars on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
Once two goals were scored off corner-kicks, sophomore goalie Austin Dyche felt indifferent about his individual and the team’s performances, knowing there is always room for improvement.
“I think as a team we did decent. Offense could have done better, they could have scored a goal,” Dyche said. “If you can’t score, you can’t win. They’re a pretty good team.”
With only two regular season games left and state right around the corner, head coach Arlan Vomhof has faith that his team can play much better than they did during this game.
“I was disappointed because I felt it was a game we could’ve won. We didn’t play as well as we have in other games.” Vomhof said.
Although the team was defeated, coach Vomhof wasn’t phased by the loss, and is confident the team can finish the season on a positive note.
“I think right now, coming to the end of the season, it’s not that we don’t have talent to finish strong,” Vomhof said. “We just need to be optimistic until the end of the season.”
